'Crust & Ember Pizzeria' started with a simple aspiration: to bring genuine Neapolitan pizza to London. Established by the Edwards family in 1985, our pizzeria began as a small, family-run shop with recipes passed down through generations.
George Edwards, our founder, learned the craft of pizza during travels across Italy, studying under master pizzaiolos in Naples—the birthplace of pizza. After returning to the UK, she aimed to recreate the magic of authentic Italian pizza, using traditional methods and the finest ingredients.
What began as a cozy 12-seat pizzeria has blossomed into a cherished local staple, yet our dedication to quality and authenticity has never wavered. We still employ wood-fired oven techniques, prepare dough fresh daily, and source top-tier ingredients.
Today, 'Crust & Ember Pizzeria' remains family-owned and operated, with the second generation of the Edwards family guiding our devoted team. While embracing some modern innovations, the core of our business stays the same: crafting delicious, authentic pizza that brings people together.
